Brief History Of Islam Part (5 of 5)

The time period of Hazrat Umar (R.A) was one of the best eras for Muslims. At the time of death, people around Hazrat Umar (R.A) asked for next Caliph but Hazrat Umar (R.A) made a committee of six people who decide the next Caliph. This committee work hard to find their next Caliph, after a long search six names were highlighted for Caliph which are Ali ibn Abi Talib, Usman ibn Affan, Abdur Rehman ibn Awf, Az Zubair ibn Al awam, Sad bin Abi waqas and Talha ibn Ubayda these all were a very well known companions of the Prophet (P.B.U.H) may ALLAH bless them. Hazrat Umar (R.A) guides the Muslims accept that whatever the committee decided within 3 days.

All the Muslims were curious about the decision but after 2 days had passed no decision came out. Abdur Rehman was put forward his name for Caliph if all agree then, otherwise he steps back from this decision. The majority agreed on the name of Abdur Rehman but the people of Medina had chosen Usman Ghani (R.A) as the new Caliph. Finally Hazrat Usman Ghani (R.A) selected for 3rd Caliph of Muslims Ummah.

The Caliph Life of Hazrat Usman Ghani (R.A) is very simple even after the governor of the Muslim state. Hazrat Usman (R.A) was a successful businessman and it is not difficult for him to live a luxurious life but He gave preference to live a simple life and served the humanity. Due to this nature people loved him and had chosen Him. The only single aim of Hazrat Usman Ghani (R.A) was to be successful after the life. Hazrat Usman (R.A) did not charge any salary from the treasure of Islam although it was His riot but he refused and decided to serve His life for Islam free. In the period of Hazrat Usman (R.A), He made a custom to free slave on every Friday. His patience and sympathetic behavior made him a successful leader among yet.

Hazrat Usman Ghani (R.A) rule the Muslim nation very brilliantly, He made his cousin Hazrat Mawiya ibn abi sufiyan as the governor of Syria where He established a naval force of Arabs which plays a vital role in prominent battles with Byzantines. One of the greatest contributions of Hazrat Usman (R.A) was the compilation of the Quran as it was revealed to Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Hazrat Usman (R.A) had martyred when He was reciting the Quran as predicted by Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H). The time period of Hazrat Usman (R.A) was also very successful and He served the humanity up to a greater extent.

After the period of Hazrat Usman (R.A), the 4th and the last Caliph for Muslim Ummah was Hazrat Ali (R.A) after that the period of Caliph Movement had stopped and normal government took the responsibility to rule the Muslim nations. There are lots of great leader had arrived and rule the nation brilliantly, now the Muslim nation are in trouble just because they leave the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H).

Brief History Of Islam Part (4 of 5)

When our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) had died, Muslims was in serious trouble. There was no leader after Muhammad (P.B.U.H); there were 4 people who deserve the tag of leadership. Abu bakr Siddique, Hazrat Umar, Hazrat Usman and Hazrat Ali (R.A). Mutual discussion by the people of Muslims community they recommend Hazrat Abu bakr Siddique as a leader of Islam from here the Khilafat movement had started. There is no doubt about the qualities of all but Hazrat Abu bakr Siddique took the place of Prophet for public prayer during last days of our Prophet (P.B.U.H). Everyone agreed on the name of Hazrat Abu bakr Sidiqque (R.A). Now Hazrat Abu bakr Siddique (R.A) was the leader of Islam and He was responsible to lead Islam according to Quran and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) teachings.

The period of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) movement was short but in this period He rules the nation with intelligently and according to the teaching of Islam. He was very merciful, sympathetic and brave Caliph of Islam. The second Caliph after the period of Hazrat Abu bakr Siddique (R.A) was Hazrat Umar (R.A). Hazrat Umar (R.A) was also known as Ameer-ul-momineen, He was brave and stiff with His decision. In the period of Hazrat Umar (R.A), Islam extended to Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Persia where surprising victories had achieved under the supervision of Hazrat Umar (R.A). Four years after the death of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), Hazrat Umar (R.A) took Islam to the height of success. The famous battle fought in the period of Hazrat Umar (R.A) during sandstorm near river Yarmuk in which Byzantines got serious defeat by Muslim. The ruler of Byzantine was Heraclius who refuses to accept Islam on the call by Hazrat Umar (R.A).

One year after the battle of Yarmuk, Hazrat Umar (R.A) was resting in a military camp near Golan Heights, Byzantines ready to surrender Jerusalem. After that a treaty was signed in which it was clearly mention that, Muslims will not occupy your churches nor destroy. This behaviour from Muslims inspired many non-Muslims and later on many Christians accept Islam. The period of Hazrat Umar (R.A) was one of the best periods because first time Hazrat Umar (R.A) introduces the laws and ministries for better management. Hazrat Umar (R.A) served as a Caliph of Islam for 10 years and ended his period with such an excellent victory over Persia.

Hazrat Umar (R.A) had rule significantly and took the Islam to the height of success. Hazrat Umar (R.A) is very much famous for His justice, His ideas, the way of administration and many other factors. The life of Hazrat Umar (R.A) has a beneficial impact on the people of Islam at that time. After the death of Hazrat Umar (R.A) this was another big loss of Muslims after Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H). After that the net Caliph movement was Hazrat Usman (R.A) which is also a very well known companion of Prophet (P.B.U.H). The caliph movement leads the Islam to the height of success.

Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (R.A)

Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) belongs to a noble family of Mecca. She was a trader by profession. She used to import and export goods from Mecca to other countries. At that time Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was also famous for his honesty and dignity to his work. People called him Al-Sadiq and Al-Amin. When Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) heard about his honesty and truthfulness she appointed him to sell her goods at Syria. Hazrat Muhammad Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam performed his duty with full devotion and made a huge profit.

The other companions who were with Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam at the time of trading told about the politeness and good behavior of Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam to Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha). Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) was so greatly pleased and impressed with Hazrat Muhammad Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam and offered her hand to marriage with Hazrat Muhammad Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam. Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam accepted her proposal. She was forty at the time of marriage and Hazrat Muhammad Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam was twenty five years old.

Her first husband was Abu-Hala and she had two daughters Hind and Hala from Abu-Hala. Her second husband was Atiq bin Makhzoomi and through him she had one daughter Hinda. Although it was her third marriage but also she had the privilege and blessing to become the first wife of Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam. They had six children; two sons and four daughters Abdullah bin Muhammed, Qasim bin Muhammed, Zainab (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) bintay Muhammed, Fatima (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) bintay Muhammed, Ruqayya (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) bintay Muhammed and Umme Kulsoom (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) bintay Muhammed. Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam and Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) proved to be an ideal husband and wife for the whole world.

Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) faced all the hardships with Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam when he announced himself as the prophet of Allah. She was the one who believed that Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam is the messenger of Allah and also she was the first lady who accepted Islam. When the behavior of Quraish was so brutal with Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam even then Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) encouraged Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam to continue his preaching of Islam. She spent all her money for the sake of Islam. Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam respected her a lot. He always used to say that Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) was the first lady who believed him when no one else had faith in him.

Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam did not merry again in the life of Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha). They were lived together for twenty five years. She was died at the 10th year of prophet-hood. Hazrat Muhammed Sal-Allah-O-Alaihe Wassallam was so deeply grieved because at the same year his beloved uncle Abu-Talib also died and therefore that year was called Aam-ul-Huzn (The year of grief). Indeed the life of Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (Razi Allah-Tala Anha) was an example for the whole Ummah and we have to learn the true Islamic way of life from her.

Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) - Man OF Grandeur and Dignity

Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) also known as Khatam-ul-Anbiya born in the sacred city of Mecca on Friday 17th Rabi-ul-awwal. Hazrat bibi Amina (R.A) was the lucky lady who changed the history of humanity and uplifted people of the era from the nethermost pit of humiliation and raised them to the apex of grandeur and glory and herald a message of prosperity and peace for the retarded people and blessed them with a panacea for ills and pains. The newborn was named Muhammad. Hazrat Abdullah (R.A) father of Hazrat Muhammad died before His birth. The infant was handed to Bedouin ladies who nourish and suckle the infant according to the tradition of the Arab nobilities. Hazrat Halima sadia (R.A) was selected for the upbringing of this blessed kid.

At the age of 5 Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) was returned to his real mother (Sayyida Amina R.A). After some days Sayyida Amina (R.A) took him for a visit to Madina to show him HIS father’s grave. After their return they stayed at Abwa and unfortunately HIS mother got ill and died after a few days. After the death of Sayyida Amina (R.A) Abdul Mutlib grandfather of Muhammad (S.A.W) took all HIS responsibilities. At the age of 8 HIS grandfather expired and Abu Talib became Muhammad (S.A.W) guardian. Abu Talib was HIS uncle.

At the age of 12 he accompanied his uncle to Syria for business purpose. He was growing and was noticing things around with an observant and curious eye. He was trained as a merchant by HIS uncle and he earned fame as aman of elite moral status, dignity and a trustworthy businessman. Thus, HE was named as Al- Ameen(trusted one) and Al-Sadiq (truthful one). Meanwhile, He started the business with Hazrat Khadija (R.A) and got married with her.

At the age of 40 Muhammad (S.A.W) on 27thRjab, HE was summoned to spread the divine mission. HE was appointed as the messenger and a Prophet of ALLAH. He conveyed the message to HIS wife Hazrat Khadija (R.A) and she accepted it sincerely. Slowly, this message caught fire and people started joining HIS messages. At that time Islam was only conveyed to a few selected people. Islam was propagated secretly for around 3 years, then, Muhammad (S.A.W) was ordered to spread the teachings of Islam to all HIS relatives. It was the beginning of a harsh and tough life. Muhammad (S.A.W) faced hardship at every step that HEwas ordered to leave MAKHA and move to Abyssinia. Later on He travelled to Taif, met Ansar and at last migrated to Madina. In between HE experienced several changes in HIS personal life and HIS duty. Two biggest losses was the death of Hazrat Abu Talib (R.A) and Hazrat Khadija (R.A).

In Madina, He took part in the construction of the great Muslim Mosque Masjid-e-Nabvi. He participated devotedly and placed stones with the laymen. Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) took part in several Islamic battles named as Ghazwas and history of Islam shares 26 Ghazwas. But, Uhud, Badr, Hunan, Khandaq and Khabar are the most famous among all. On 2nd Rabi-UL-Awaal Muhammad (S.A.W) died. HE is buried in Madina and is a place of pilgrim for Muslims across the globe.

Brief History of Islam Part (3 of 5)

Later on when Medina was completely under the governance of Muslims, Charter of Medina or Constitution of Medina was signed. According to this law Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the messenger of ALLAH. This is a really big achievement from Muslims because they all were standing at some solid state. Their member claims that they all were separate from the others. Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is very merciful, that's why they established certain position of non-Muslim too. The non-Muslims could live freely in Medina until they follow the constitution. Minorities in Medina had religious freedom upon paying some nominal taxes. Those who worshiped only one ALLAH is free from this law.

After that they all decided to spread Islam to some greater extent. By the permission of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) a letter had sent to the powerful and strong rulers of the country of Byzantium, Egypt, Negus and Persia in which invitation from Muslims to accept Islam. All were impressed by the confidence of Muslims. At the age of 628 A.D Muhammad (P.B.U.H) with 1500 followers demands for the access of Kaaba. This was a turning point for Muslims; this was the birth city of Muhammad (P.B.U.H). This year the enemies of Muhammad deny giving permission for the access of Kaaba. In 629 A.D Muslims occupied Mecca without any battle, in short with peace. After that they cracked the idols placing inside the Kaaba. After that huge leaders accepted Islam name Hazrat Khalid-bin-Waleed who is considered as the ""Sword of ALLAH" and Amr ibn al as the future leader of Egypt. Their acceptance of Islam is really a great achievement because they both were one of the biggest enemies of Muhammad and Islam.

This was one of the biggest achievements because after Medina, the Muslims occupied Mecca. In 632 3 years later Muhammad (P.B.U.H) suddenly got ill and on June 8, with his 3rd wife Hazrat Aisha (R.A) Muhammad (P.B.U.H) died at noon. The death of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was such a biggest loss for Muslims. For all other Muslims He was such a great leader, friend, administrator who brings Islam from the darkness to the light of this world. For a few days all other activity was stopped due to this loss. Later on after the death of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) Khilafat movement had started.

Brief History of Islam Part (2 of 5)

When the preaching of Islam had been officially started, the opposition made strong planning to destroy their preaching as well as their preachers by any mean. When the situation got out of control at that time by the instruction of our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) many of his companion in which children, women, animals and men were included migrated to Ethiopia. The ruler of Ethiopia at that time was Christian who granted the permission to protect Muslims. This was one of the respected steps from that community which has never forgotten until yet. On the other side, in Mecca the situation was getting worse day by day. The followers of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) were harassed, tortured and even badly tortured. Later on 70 followers of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) migrated towards Yathrib, where they plan to build a new position of Islam. Currently the name of Yathrib as Medina (the city of Muhammad (P.B.U.H))

In the 622 A.D Muhammad (P.B.U.H) with his beloved friend Hazrat Abu bakar Siddique (R.A) decided to join the people of Medina, because they know that people of Mecca want to kill them. Later on when the peoples of Mecca attack in the house of the Prophet, they were shocked because a cousin of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was there whose name was Hazrat Ali (R.A). When they all were failed to kill Muhammad (P.B.U.H) then the leader of opposition sets the price of Muhammad had. Cave of Hira is that cave where Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and his friend Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) had taken shelter over there. By the miracle of ALLAH the opposition of Muhammad came over there but they did not find Muhammad (P.B.U.H) over there. After that Muhammad (P.B.U.H) moved towards Medina. When the people of Medina, came to know that their Prophet was coming to Mecca all were in a situation of happiness and they all welcomed Muhammad (P.B.U.H) warmly.

The people and supporters of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) requested him to settle in Medina. The first battle of Islam was Jang-e-badr which was held at Badr, now this is the small town in Medina near the southwest. This battle has very important effects on the history of Islam. One of the powerful communities ensured to help Muslim but when the battle started they all leave the Muslim. Later at this community was barred from Medina 1 month after the battle. Those who betray Muslim in this battle faced the warning. Later on many battles had been fought, another important battle which has to be discussed was a battle of trench (Ghazwa-e-Khandaq) in which Muslims developed new technique of defense, because a group of 10 thousand people were coming to attack on Medina. The Muslims decided to dig a trench on the side where non-Muslim comes from, this uncertain hindrance created a problem for attackers and at last they drop their weapons and went back. After that the Medina was completely the land of Muslims.

Brief History of Islam Part (1 of 5)

Islam is one of the most peaceful religion in the whole world; there are very few people who exactly know the history of Islam. Islam is also called the religion of the Prophets and specially related to our Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). It was about 1400 years ago in the 570 A.D a child was born whose name was Muhammad and later on he had become the Prophet of one of the great religion called Islam. He was born to the family related to the clan of Quraish which was among the powerful communities of Mecca at that time.

At that time Mecca was considered as the hub of trading that is the reason many prominent and wealthy people accommodated there. Our Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) father had died before the birth of Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Mother of our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) died after the birth of Muhammad (P.B.U.H). After that the care of our beloved Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) was taken by his grandfather whose name was Hazrat Abdul Mutlib and real name was Shaiba, he was the head of Banu Hashim community at that time. Later on when his grandfather had also died than take care of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was raised to Abu Talib who was the uncle of our Prophet.

There was a ritual that every born child had to live with other well known community of that time that is the reason our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) had sent to a Bedouin family. This ritual leaved a deep impact on the life of our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). His life was full of hard work, troubles and other difficult things but with all these our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) blessed with excellent and heart winning qualities. He has patience, well behaved and speaking was his proudest art. The life our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) was hidden or private but when he blessed with the label of Prophet then he came out and shared his thoughts. When He was 20 years old he first married to the widow named Hazrat Khadija (R.A). He had two sons by Hazrat Khadija (R.A) but unfortunately no one could survive and 4 daughters by her.

When our Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was at the age of 40, one day he was in the cave of Hira according to their normal routine and suddenly the greatest event of Islam took place, where He was blessed officially by ALLAH's messenger. This news convey by the most sacred angel of ALLAH, Hazrat Jibraeel (A.S). The Angel tried to teach Muhammad (P.B.U.H) but He was unable to do 3 times. Finally Muhammad recited the message of ALLAH which is mentioned in QURAN 96 chapter. Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) first revealed this situation to his wife Hazrat Khadija (R.A) and later on their close relative or companions.

Later on our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) spread Islam and their close companions joined them and proclaim that ALLAH is one and he is our greatest Lord. In the early ages of Islam, teaching of Islam was conducted secretly but later on they all were taught openly to the people of Mecca. The ALLAH's message is only conveyed by Muhammad (P.B.U.H). There are many people who rejected their message, even many people who belong to their own tribe refused to accept Islam. Abu Jehal is the leader of the community who were against the preaching of Islam. They all blame that, it was black magic or the mission of Muhammad and much more. To accept Islam you must accept that ALLAH is one and there is no companion with ALLAH, this is one of the top and basic necessities to enter in the circle of Islam.
